Eyktime for recorder (or flute) and guitar takes its name from the 17th century composer Jacob van Eyk, blind flautist and bell-ringer of Utrecht whose music is briefly quoted in the piece. This duo is challenging material for both players and makes imaginative use of contemporary techniques for the recorder and flute.
