Kai Nieminen's From... Shadows... of Songs... the... Winds... was premiered in August 2022. It is a 19-minute-long one-movement work, though it is divided in four clearly differentiated sections, as the title itself suggests: “From”, “Shadows”, “of Songs”, and “the Winds”.The meditative character of the piece is closely linked to a continuous search for a wide palette of tone colours combined with evocative harmonies.
