Novelist Leena Lehtolainen was invited to write the libretto of Timo-Juhani Kyllönen's monologue opera Ilona irti (Release Joy, 2019). The story deals with the unequal status of women and the harassment which is at times evident in present-day society. It tackles the #MeToo movement from different perspectives. The original score is for soprano, violin, violoncello and piano.
