Saxophonist–composer Kimmo Gröhn is known not only for jazz but also as a trusted musician for many theatre orchestras and popular music artists. He worked for years, among others, in the bands of Arja Koriseva and Kirka, touring throughout Finland. Music theatre enthusiasts can hardly have avoided hearing Gröhn's playing, as the versatile musician has performed in more than thirty different musicals since the 2000s. Gröhn wrote his first compositions before the age of ten. He has continued composing and also writing lyrics ever since, producing music for various television and radio programmes, as well as for a big band musical.
