The composer wrote her Diesel Rhythm Canticle for flute, clarinet and guitar in a miserable atmosphere. During the writing process she underwent many a lesson in the school of life. Personal setbacks followed one another. A delicate artist, all these left their mark in her psyche - and this work.
Yet life goes mercilessly onward - like a diesel machine.

Diesel Rhythm Canticle huilulle, klarinetille ja kitaralle syntyi mustien varjojen katveessa. Säveltäjä koki sarjan vastoinkäymisiä teoksen sävellystyön aikana. Nämä jättivät jälkensä sekä taiteilijan psyykeen, mutta myös tähän teokseen. Silti, elämä kulkee kaikista vastoinkäymisistä huolimatta vääjäämättömästi eteenpän - kuin dieselkone.
