Markus Fagerudd's Four Sound Animations for piano four hands (2011) was written at the request of the Juvenalia Music Institute. The music is based on visual motifs. Each movement is connected to the sound of a specific incident. This approach helps young players to diversify their expression and encourages them to exaggerate while playing. The exaggeration, in turn, gives the animations their winding form.
