Mikko Heiniö's Den höga himlen (The High Sky) for organ (2007) is dedicated to poet Bo Carpelan, in whose collection Nya dikter (2007) the last poem carries the same title. The composition is based both on a 12-note spectral chord and on three themes that are B-C-E-A (from Bo Carpelan's name), the first line from the hymn Den högä himlen by Jean Sibelius (1927, Jacob Tegengren) and a fragment from my work Genom kvällen (1986, Bo Carpelan).
